"Heed not my weaknesses, nurture my strengths"

Student achievement is the core business of Whakarewarewa School. The strategic pathway for learning development is of high priority to the Board, staff and whānau of this kura and contributes to a culture of schoolwide improvement.

Learning programmes reflect the National Education goals, the cultural, spiritual practices and beliefs of Tuhourangi, Ngāti Wahiao, Ngāti Hinemihi, Te Hurunga Te Rangi and Apumoana - Te Arawa iwi.

The Board of Trustees are critical to all aspects of Kura operations. Effective governance ensures a schoolwide culture of improvement that is focused on the provision of high quality learning outcomes for students.
